Identifying the signal in the noise.
Salesforce product designer.
With 9+ years in design, I turn complex problems into clear, considered experiences and help teams align around what matters. My approach combines deep research, sharp synthesis, thoughtful storytelling, and attention to detail. I care about the big picture, but I’m equally interested in the details that make an experience feel right.

About me
My design career started at the University of Dundee where I earned my degree in Digital Interaction Design with First Class Honours. I then interned at Prudential, in Stirling, where I received my design system education. Before joining Salesforce, I worked at Vision and Craneware as a UX Consultant solving problems in extremely complex domains.
Throughout my nine year career, I’ve built and governed 4 design systems, led product migrations from discovery through delivery, and helped design, product, and engineering teams navigate complexity and make better decisions together. My colleagues describe me as highly organised and and I’ve been told on more than one occasion that I might secretly be a project manager.
Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, running, writing, stand up comedy, hanging out with friends, and spending time in nature - anything that gets me thinking deeply, challenges me and keeps me active.

Nice things people have said about me
Mario Picariello
Principal Experience Designer, AI Centre @ Salesforce
"Marina is one of the most well-rounded senior UX designers I've had on a team, combining research depth, design craft, and communication skills in a way that's genuinely rare. She led the full conception of our Design System, not just the design itself but the governing processes to keep it scalable, and it became a foundation the whole team built from.
Marina has a real gift for taking complex, moving parts and distilling them into a clear, compelling narrative: one colleague called her presentation "one of the best I've seen in a long time." She takes ownership of a project from start to finish, maps out a plan, and sees it through with real care and attention to detail at every stage.
On top of all that, Marina builds community wherever she goes, running learning sessions for the team and creating connection even while working remotely. I highly recommend Marina for any opportunity ahead of her. She is a true asset to any team."
Jasmine Lawson
Innovation Manager, Strategy and Solutions @ Salesforce
"Marina is an incredibly thoughtful interviewer. She created an environment where participants felt comfortable sharing openly and honestly. She listened with genuine curiosity, gave people the space to fully articulate their experiences, and never led the conversation toward a predetermined conclusion. The quality of the feedback we gathered was a direct reflection of that approach.
Her presentation of the findings was equally impressive. It was engaging, exceptionally well-structured, and accessible. She took a significant amount of qualitative feedback and turned it into a story that was easy to follow, supported by meaningful metrics, and ultimately useful for decision-making.
Marina brings together skills that aren't always easy to find in one person: thoughtful research, strong synthesis, excellent storytelling, and genuine empathy for the people she is designing for. Any team would be lucky to have her."
Emma Lancrin
GTM Strategy and Operations Manager @ Salesforce
"Marina has a remarkable ability to take a complex, ambiguous problem and create structure around it. She asks the right questions, looks beyond the obvious answer, and makes sure decisions are grounded in a real understanding of users and their needs. She is equally comfortable going deep into research and stepping back to connect the work to the broader business context.
What I especially appreciated was the quality of her partnership. Marina is incredibly thorough, dependable, and intentional in the way she works. She communicates clearly, welcomes different perspectives, and brings a level of care to the details that raises the quality of the work around her.
She is also someone who contributes far beyond her individual projects. Marina generously shares her knowledge, creates space for others to learn, and brings people together something that is especially valuable in distributed teams."
